Reflection:Chapter 7
Before reading this material/chapter, i knew very little about the topic. I became interested when reading about the different things you need to know to understand a paragraph. Some examples are supporting details, Transitions, main idea and the topic. What i learned was the topic is what the whole paragraph is about. The main idea is the general idea that the whole paragraph is talking about. The supporting details are the ideas that explain or support the main idea. Transitions are words and Phrases that link ideas together. Overall what i would still like to know is what other transitions other than the common ones are?

the topic. I knew how to ask guided reading questions. When reading I find it very interesting that they
mentioned the different ways to preview an essay, textbook, and article. I
learned that when asking a guided reading question; make sure the response isn’t
a one word answer. What I would still like to know is more examples on how you

Chapter 4 : Reflection
Before reading this material/chapter, I knew something about
the topic but not too much I knew that there were words in English, which were
made up of three parts which are called Prefixes, Roots, and Suffixes. I want
to know more about how these parents in a word can help us understand that
particular word. I learned that words are built upon at least one root and can
also have more than one Prefix, Root or suffixes. What I would still like to know
are more examples that can help us figure out the word without using a
dictionary.
